TRY – POWER OF TAKING RESPONSIBILITY

OK, this is a big one –

When we make a mistake or say something hurtful, how many of us immediately look around for someone else to blame!

Be truthful, at one time or another we have all done this rather than taking responsibility for what we did or said.

Here are a few classic disclaimers — “not my fault; I wasn’t part of this decision; just wanted to get my message across or my dog ate my homework” How many of us can relate to finger pointing rather than standing up and saying, yes, I take full responsibility for my actions and will live with the consequences.

Next time you catch yourself making excuses; stop and step up to the plate and take responsibility for your actions and see what happens. Standing in our power only happens when we are willing to do the right thing, at all times in our lives.
